Rebuilt 6ave.com mobile-first: load time −48%, sessions +28%
6ave.com, iBuy's own storefront, was slow on phones, hard to index, and its catalog didn't reflect live inventory. I led a full rebuild on Shopify, from information architecture to the content pipeline behind it.
- Role
- Led the rebuild, as E-Commerce Marketplace Manager
- Dates
- Feb – Apr 2025
- Stack
- Shopify, Shopify API, OpenRouter, WMS integration
- Live
- 6ave.com
The problems
- Slow on phonesThe legacy store loaded slowly on mobile, where most of the traffic lands.
- Hard to indexThe legacy build was hard for search engines to index.
- Stock that wasn't realThe catalog on the page didn't reflect live inventory in the warehouse.
What I did
P1Rebuilt mobile-first on Shopify
A mobile-first, SEO-structured rebuild. Load time fell 48% and bounce rate 24%.
P2Restructured the catalog for search
Navigation went from six broad departments to product-type menus with filterable collection pages. An AI content tool on the Shopify API and OpenRouter writes SEO-rich product descriptions and reviews, cutting listing time 70%.
P3Synced stock with the warehouse
A WMS integration keeps stock status on the page in step with the warehouse in real time.

Before and after
The storefront, then and now
Legacy captures are from the Internet Archive's November 2024 snapshot of 6ave.com; current captures are the live store. Drag a handle, or use the arrow keys.

Header: six broad departments became ten product-type menus.

Homepage: category tiles and one "Hot Products" row became a browsable category carousel and a trending row beside a promo slot.

Product page: urgency copy and a delivery estimate became SKU and MPN, stock status, quantity, bundles and the return policy above the fold.
