Replacing manual wholesale distribution with a B2B portal
iBuy's bulk wholesale ran on manual, one-off workflows that couldn't keep pace with a growing catalog. I designed and led a phased build: prove the buyer flow in weeks, then build the real platform underneath it.

- Designed and led the platform

- Apr 2025 – now
- Stack
- React, Node.js, ERP integration
- Status
- Phase 3 in progress
The problems
- Manual, one-off dealsWholesale distribution ran deal by deal, by hand.
- Risk of building the wrong thingA full platform is a large bet before anyone knows buyers will use it.
- ScaleThe platform has to work across a 1M+ SKU catalog.
What I did
Three phases, each proving the next was worth building.
Pre-MVP
Shipped in weeks
Secure login, buyer verification and offer submission: the core buyer flow, proven before investing in the full platform.
MVP
Shipped
A React/Node.js portal with tiered pricing, ERP integration and separate dashboards for buyers and internal operations.
Phase 3
In progress
Real-time auctions, analytics and API integrations, built to run across a 1M+ SKU catalog.
